Hope Restored
“After experiencing two late miscarriages, this full-term pregnancy was a long awaited answer to prayer. Getting to the end of the third trimester felt like a major victory for our family, and a moment we wanted to remember forever. We had all experienced so much heart break, and were ready to receive and celebrate the gift that our newest family addition would be.
It was here that Michael gently stepped into our story to capture a very precious season, just before Esther Hope, our little star, was born into the world. Having these moments memorialized means so much to me, my husband, and our two older children, and helps us tell our family story of hope restored. The Miracle Baby Session
"When we considered maternity photographers we knew we wanted that person to be someone special who would connect with our story. It’s been a long and trying journey. In short, after over ten years of infertility, my husband and I were prayed for on a missions trip to Africa to conceive, and to our surprise and absolute delight, two months later we were pregnant!!!
When we shared the larger backstory of our miracle baby to Michael, he celebrated with us and jumped at the chance of taking our maternity photos.
Despite the humid Tennessee air the day of the session and being a mom about to burst (kept the car with A/C on nearby!), Michael made the entire process as easy and straightforward as possible. He scouted ahead prior to the session day and found a beautiful location with parking close by, so I could stay in the cool car until his equipment was set and ready to go. And even though I had to venture into some thick brush and battle a few bugs for many of the images, in the end, the results he captured exceeded our expectations and made it all totally worth it!
He was amazing to work with, and I’m so glad we took the leap to actually have maternity photos captured of us! We hope he will be the one to take photos of us as our little miracle boy grows up, and the story continues!"

A Message from Michael...
When I first started adding maternity photos to my session offerings, I had no idea the depth of stories I'd experience in working with my first few clients. As I continued down the path, I felt like I kept overhearing common whispers and prayers of thanks for how this finally came to be, and I soon realized I was no longer simply capturing the beauty of a pregnancy, but even more found myself photographing mothers of miracles.
Talk about humbling.

MATERNITY SESSION DETAILS
I'm still building my portfolio in this space, working toward the particular look you see in these images. So for now I'm offering an introductory rate for moms who'd like to create something together while I do.
Maternity sessions are $550 — usually 90 minutes to two hours outdoors, using studio lighting to shape the light around you rather than just taking whatever's there. The real answer on timing, though, is that we go as long as you're up for and not a minute more.
I scout the spot ahead of time and find something with parking close by, so you're not walking farther than you want to, and we keep the pace slow. If you need to sit for a while, we sit.
You'll come away with 50–75+ edited, high-resolution images to keep, print, and share however you want. Your 15 favorites get the full treatment on top of that — stray hairs, skin, all the fine detail cleaned up so they really shine. Your final gallery is also hooked up to the professional lab I use myself, marked up as little as I can manage so beautiful prints are just a few clicks away.
Note: Sessions are held within about 15 miles of downtown Franklin. Travel beyond that or location permits can add a little — I'll always tell you up front. Partners and siblings are, of course, always welcome.
